• We ceremoniously broke ground on the project on June 12, 2022!
  • With rising costs, our original plans had to be scaled back – but God opened up new doors and now New Life has applied for the Downtown Revitalization Initiative in Endicott to help bridge the gap and push the project to original completion!

Dear Friends,

“All honor and glory to God forever and ever!” – 1 Timothy 1:17 NLT

Now that our big project is underway, this verse is ringing in my ears! We get to be part of what God is doing to renovate New Life and our community. What a reason to worship Him!

We give God all the praise for what He is doing in and through us. God is currently doing things at New Life that He has never done before in our 161-year history as a church.

On Sunday, June 12th, we commissioned our project leaders for From The Ground Up, including our principal engineer and contractor, as well as Pastor Jon Scofield, Tyler Brink, and Ryan Foster. Now construction is underway and we’re going to have an elevator this year!

We have sought the Lord in prayer, trusting Him to provide what we need. We know that “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” Psalm 127:1 NIV. So we humbled ourselves, kneeling before the Lord, who is the source of our blessings.

After the service as we came together for our Groundbreaking ceremony, I was overwhelmed by the great turnout. Hundreds of New Lifers and dozens of guests from the community celebrated what God is doing to rebuild New Life and revitalize Endicott and our greater community.

As construction begins, the dust will fly but New Life will remain open throughout the project. Let’s give a huge thanks to our contractor for helping us stay open as we renovate! It won’t be long after that we will begin to clad as much of the building as possible, beautifying and weatherproofing our building for decades to come.

God planted New Life on the north side of Endicott for a reason. In the future, I look forward to us expanding through new sites and reaching new people. But first, it’s time to grow strong here. God is building this ministry From The Ground Up, and I’m so glad you are a part of it.

Once again, to God be the glory!
