“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.”
1 Corinthians 12:4-6
Our 2019 Christmas script is complete and APPROVED! This year we are pleased to present, The Christmas Journey.
‘Before their journey began on the road to Bethlehem; before the gifts of three wisemen, the song of angels singing praises in a field full of shepherds, and the birth of a Child destined to change the world; a love story began. Combined with the music from the band Journey, we get to embark on our own journey, experiencing how Mary and Joseph fell in love; the nervousness Mary felt after being told she had been chosen to be the mother of the messiah; the fear, confusion and anger Joseph battled with in hearing that the love of his life was pregnant; and through it all, how they both stayed faithful to God and never stopped believing in His plan. This is the story that preceded the greatest love story ever told; this is their Christmas Journey.’
Dramatic Arts FAQ
By definition, the Dramatic Arts are a form of narrative performed on a stage in front of an audience. At New Life, they are any theatrical addition to the main worship services or events.
The Dramatic Arts are not limited to the actors on the stage or the production team. We are an all-encompassing ministry. We welcome anyone whose heart is full of the love of Jesus and can work well with a team in a high-intensity, detail oriented, environment. Whether you are a seasoned professional, a newbie, renewing a passion you thought was gone or just love theater, we all work together toward a common goal.
- If you serve in a ministry, we ask that you regularly attend New Life. We need to be filled before we fill others.
- Because we work directly with children, everyone will be subjected to a background check.
- All our actors must commit to ALL rehearsals.
- When we step onto a stage, we are on the front lines of ministry; our lives should reflect all God’s morals and standards in His Word and ultimately, what we teach from the stage.
