We are 18 months into our “From The Ground Up” giving campaign – can you believe it? We’ve got an elevator we’re going to be able to use soon! Concrete has been poured, and there’s a new cross on the building that gleams during the daytime and shines all night, testifying of the hope of Jesus all day, every day!

Phase 1 of the project, which is the elevator and the first-floor lobby/vestibule, is scheduled to be done in the next few weeks. After some finishing touches and a NY state inspection, Phase 1 will be complete, but more importantly – it will be PAID FOR! Of the $1,501,912 that was committed in the Fall of 2021, we have received $1,277,314, which is enough to fully pay for Phase 1! Because of people faithfully fulfilling their commitments, we can confidently move into Phase 2.

Speaking of Phase 2, we are hoping to make some EXCITING improvements to the inside of our building! Our goal is to be able to accomplish the following with Phase 2 funding:

  • Exterior repair to our building to prevent future water damage
  • New heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units for our new spaces
  • New floors in our first-floor and second-floor hallways
  • Updated 2nd and 3rd floor lobbies
  • New furniture and treatments for all of our new spaces

At this time it is too early to know exactly how much all of these things will cost, but we know it will take at least all of the funding left from your commitments. The number of things we are able to do and the extent to which we can do them depend entirely on the Phase 2 funding that we receive, and I will be sure to keep you informed as time goes on.

I’ve said it all along: this is God’s building, and this is God’s project, and because of the sacrificial giving of the people who call New Life home, we are able to put down strong roots in this community for years to come.
